About the Item
A vintage lost wax cast bronze Greco-Roman style Telamon Term fountain with verdigris patina. Created with the traditional technique of the lost-wax (à la cire perdue) that allows a great precision and finesse in the details, this Greco Roman statue, called a Term or Terminal Figure, depicts the muscular bust of Telamon, son of King Aeacus of Aegina and Endeïs, a mountain nymph, carrying a capital on his head, his lower body transforming into a pilaster. With the water coming out of his mouth through a little pipe, this Term is a fountain (no hardware is included). Boasting a verdigris patina, the term is adorned with ribbon-tied foliage and flowers completing the lower section beautifully. With its Greco-Roman inspiration and skillful execution, this bronze Telamon Term fountain will be an excellent addition to any wall, placed against a wall!
