A Close Woven Wicker Ottoman in French Green Finish with Colored Accents

About the Item

A rare and an unusual wicker ottoman made between 1915 - 1920s by the Heywood Wakefield Company of Gardner, Ma. in a beautiful shaded French green finish with black braid and woven Maroon red accents .This piece is in exceptional condition with new decking and includes a cushion which would add an additional 4" to the height. Unique in it's design in that it narrows to a rounded front which when added to a chair it gives the appearance of a chaise lounge. What makes this piece rare is of course that ottomans were overly used from relaxing and ones feet, sitting ,children playing, pets and I'm sure using them as a quick step stool, many of course didn't survive. This piece as well as the additional coordinating pieces pictured and listed separately are from a collection of French green wicker furnishings acquired from an East Hampton Estate.
