Rugged Elegance: Handcrafted Welsh Slate Garden Benches
Elevate your outdoor or indoor living space with this exceptional hand crafted solid stone benches made from the finest natural Welsh slate sourced directly from the renowned slate mine in foothills of Snowdonia National Park.
Please note that the listing is for 2no benches complete with base (plinths) and Polished Smooth Top.
The polished top features a honed smooth surface, contrasting with the the rugged natural riven edges. Sitting on pedestal plinth feet that are the result of the natural cleavage planes within the slate, that give each piece its natural beauty. The bases are a natural cut and represent the rugged landscape in which they were formed millions of years ago. Please note that every bench will have some variation in texture, shape and grain although they are usually very consistent and will be very similar to the ones in the photos.
The quarry has long been recognized as one of the premier sources of high-quality Welsh slate, prized for its distinctive character and unparalleled durability. Nestled within the breath-taking landscapes of Snowdonia, this historic site has been providing exceptional building materials for centuries, making it the ideal source for these timeless garden benches.

Each Measuring 115cm (45”) in length, 40cm (16”) in depth, and 48cm (19”) in height, these benches offer ample seating for two. Each bench is made up of 3 pieces, two bolster (plinth) legs and a single slate slab. Note that sizes can vary a little on the final piece.
The slate used in these benches is renowned for its resistance to weathering, fading, and deterioration, ensuring that they will continue to grace your space for generations to come.
