Restored Antique Victorian 1870 Coalbrookdale Nasturtium Pattern Garden Bench
About the Item
We are delighted to offer for sale this beautiful Coalbrookdale Nasturtium pattern cast iron garden seat or bench dating to circa 1870.
The pierced back and sides with a naturalistic design of intertwined nasturtium leaves, flowers and seeds watched over by a classical mask. The metal seat frame is strong and stable as are the oak slats, the piece is fully stamped Coalbrookdale Co with design no.195629, this was the largest size they produced in this design.
In good structural condition, the white gloss paintwork needs minor touching up where some rust spots starting to appear on the back, it was repainted maybe 10 years ago and is starting to show its wear, the oak slats in good condition and were most likely replaced around the same time as the piece was repainted
