About the Item
Set of five outdoor hoop chairs, ca. 1950s, in the manner of Maurizio Tempestini’s “Radar” chair for Salterini. The basket weave pattern of their pierced metal seats and backs is almost more evocative of the period than the open screening of the originals. These were most likely produced as contract furniture for hotel or institutional clients 75 years ago and they remain sturdy and ready for continued summer use.
