About the Item
Iconic set of four Italian Amalfi style wrought iron patio and garden dining chairs designed by Mario Papperzini for John Salterini. The mid-century modern design features geometric lattice backs and seats in the neoclassical taste. The chair backs have peaked corners with ball finials and a gilt finish. The seats have an ergonomic, graceful shape supported by round legs conjoined with demilune shaped stretchers. The clean architectural lines are light and sculptural designed by one of Italy's most celebrated furniture designers. The iron chairs are sturdy and strong with solid joinery and craftsmanship. The finish has been repainted in the past and shows well as seen in photos. The set includes the original shaped seat cushions in a whimsical striped fabric of beige and olive green.
