A Three Seat Mid Century Rattan Sofa in Natural Finish
About the Item
This is a lovely three seat sofa in natural as found condition. It is a very simple mid century design, American,very sturdy and the finish is in good condition. This is part of a three piece suite with additional two matching arm chairs available. This set has just been purchased from a Newport Rhode Island estate and is being offered in as found very good condition allowing you to add you own decorative touch.
The seats springs have been replaced many years ago with plywood seat support which was a very common practice on antique porch sets. Please take a look at the additional matching chairs being offered separately.

Additions or alterations made to the original: This sofa and matching chairs were recently purchased from a Newport estate They appear to have had finish restoration and board seats added .No Upholstery. Wear consistent with age and use. This Sofa is in very good as found condition, very sturdy and the finish is nice shape. There are no cushions but ready for your own taste and style in upholstering.
