Antique Iron Spring Action Flower Secateurs

About the Item

A very well made Industrial Era pair of Iron Flower Garden Secateurs now for decorative use. The Pair are large and were once used for branches as well as flower stalks. Fine to hold with good weight, the Secateurs still have the original coiled iron ribbon spring system in place as well as an admirable timeworn patina. The locking mechanism is gone and the Secateurs require a tie to keep them closed. While the pair could be sharpened and repaired for Garden use, we consider them more of a Garden Scholar’s object to hold and display. Dimensions: 8.75” wide by 2” deep by .75”. Condition: Please see detail photos. As mentioned above, the bottom clasp is missing and the pair require some type of twine to bind them closed. Otherwise a fine dark age patina and a great timeworn Garden Object with a very fine presentation.
