Coade Stone Medici urn. A large Coade stone urn after the The Medici Vase. The Urn comes with a custom timber pedestal.
Attached is an image taken from Mrs Coades Stone by Allison Kelly. The photograph shows a similar Coade design to the Medici Urn, showing the “Roman procession to the Capitol, from the Villa de Medicis now at Florence”.
Another Medici Coade Urn can be found in Bristol at Blaise Castle House. One can also be seen in Cobham Hall in Kent which is included in the listing photographs. Another Coade Medici urn can be seen most notably at Kedleston Hall.
Provenance: Enville Hall, Staffordshire.
