Large Pr. Wrought Iron Finials English 19th C.

About the Item

Incredible pair of wrought iron finials, probably originally placed on a brick wall as decorative elements at an entrance. The finials feature foliate like wrought leaves on the upper exterior, with decorative scroll work creating the four prong base. these date vroom the 1860-1880's and are examples of the late Victorian, Aesthetic Movement design period. Both are in very good condition, one being slightly out of true vertical alignment, not structural or really noticeable. Currently in later, but not new, white paint finish. Spectacular pair of highly decorative, sculptural garden elements, not often seen on the market. Offered and priced as a pair.
