Pair of Garden Gueridons with Marble Tops and Cast Iron Bases

About the Item

This pair of garden guéridons features an elegant oval shape and embodies the opulence of the Second Empire style. The green-patina cast iron legs, adorned with intricate chimera and lion head motifs, exude a sense of grandeur, while the marble tops are supported by wooden planks, creating a unique blend of materials. The slow development of lichens on the marble has given it a beautiful, natural patina, adding character and history to these tables. Measuring 115 cm in width, 75 cm in height, and 71 cm in depth, these guéridons are perfect for both decorative and functional use, whether in a garden, patio, or indoor space. Signed at the center of the three feet, though the signature remains illegible, these pieces carry the luxurious craftsmanship associated with the industrial boom of the era, where comfort, opulence, and accessibility to luxury became deeply intertwined. An exceptional set that brings both sophistication and charm to any space.
