About the Item
This pair of highly sculpted limestone fruit bouquets have a remarkable weathered appearance, as the result of a light-mottled patina of black and green lichen. Hand-carved in Italy, with each bouquet consisting of fruit clusters and a separately carved base, the limestone has a gray hue with areas of cream and white. The robust collection of fruits is accompanied by various flowers and leaves, with a series of scrolls for added aesthetics. A highly fluted pedestal embellished with additional scrolls supports each bouquet, aided by a square plinth beneath. Our pair of Italian fruit bouquets would make fantastic garden ornaments or interior decorative accessories. They could also be mounted atop pillars, flanking a drive or walkway.

- Condition:Repaired: Professional restoration by a local stone carver to one of the plinths. This restored section is unseen when the bouquet is installed. Both sculptures are quite sturdy. Wear consistent with age and use. Very good condition. Intentional distress marks. Restoration to a plinth, which is unseen during installation. Limestone is a natural material that can change color with exposure to the elements. Please contact us for photos of the current patina.
