About the Item
Pair of Large Classical Style Composite Stone Garden Urns on Plinths
A striking and very heavy pair of large garden urns on separate pedestals, individually commissioned around 20 years ago from an artist in the West Midlands.
Cast in composite stone with finely detailed classical designs, each urn is of campana form with bold ram’s head masks and trailing fruit and foliage in high relief, set above a well-modelled socle base. The separate plinths feature crisp acanthus panels and classical mouldings.
Now attractively weathered from outdoor use, creating an authentic aged patina. The pair make a very fine and decorative statement, ideal for placement in a garden, terrace, courtyard, or conservatory.
