About the Item

This low display table is sculpted from a solid block of stone, hand-carved to the traditional drum form of Chinese garden stools. A ring of circles around the top and bottom imitates the nails used to stretch the surface on an actual drum, and thin vertical lines etched into the surface exaggerate its barrel-like swell. Bringing the permanence of stone to its surroundings, the drum is ideal today as a low side table, garden accent or display pedestal, indoors or out.
