19th Century French Giltwood Architectural Ionic Column

About the Item

An impressive French late 19th century parcel gilt and white painted wooden architectural column, now fashioned into a pedestal stand. Hand carved giltwood, having an ionic capital on a spiral turned standard, wrapped in trailing foliage, resting on a substantial white painted base. Structurally sound, very solid/sturdy, allowing for use as a display stand to display decorative art or alone as beautiful statement piece. Circa 1880; France Dimensions (approx): 51.5" H, 13.5" D.
