Born in France in the early 20th century, hand-crafted of solid pine wood, featuring the original muted blue - gray paint finish, having a demilune shaped top, over conforming reeded pillar case, rising on shaped wooden plinth base.

France, 19th century, luxurious Baroque taste, almost certainly commissioned for and originally part of a Catholic church, this repurposed building element now mounted on a substantial white painted domed cylindrical base and fashioned into a highly decorative sculptural object / display pedestal / torchiere candle stand or potentially mounted as an electrified floor lamp / jardiniere plant stand or whatever else you can imagine!
