19th Century French Louis XVI Faux Marble Pedestal

About the Item

19th century French Louis XVI Faux marble pedestal is a gem of the classical style! Designed in a style that has existed for over 3,000 years! Solid wood painted to look exactly like richly veined marble comprises the pediment base, the subtly tapered central shaft, and the top which is removable and able to swivel. Gold highlighted laurel wreath encircles the central shaft at its base, with an ancient Egyptian-inspired capital atop the shaft just under the aforementioned swiveling top. Perfect for displaying your statuary, vases, urns or objets d'art! Circa 1870s Measures 46H x 11W x 11D.
