Dimensions: (approx) 41" High, 26" Wide, 17.5" Deep Platform base: 6.25" Tall Column: 34.75" Tall Table-Top: 24.5" x 17" Versatile: As warm and attractive as it is useful, having the ideal size and proportions for a variety of different uses, including as a sculpture or bust display, lamp or plant stand, standing cocktail drinks bistro table, decorative shabby chic accent piece, hall console, pier table, placed in a petite foyer as a stunning entry piece, and more. A most impressive authentic antique architectural salvage hand carved gessoed and gilded solid wood spiral turned classical Ionic order column, with lavishly decorated shaft wrapped in trailing foliage relief carvings, topped with an integral capital with scroll volutes. France, 19th century, luxurious Baroque taste, almost certainly commissioned for and originally part of a Catholic church, this repurposed building element now mounted on a substantial white painted domed cylindrical base and fashioned into a highly decorative sculptural object / display pedestal / torchiere candle stand or potentially mounted as an electrified floor lamp / jardiniere plant stand or whatever else you can imagine! Dimensions (approx): 51.5" Tall, 13.5" Diameter Condition: Overall great antique condition with warm rich patina and brilliant luster. On sturdy later base. Likely regilded or touched up in the past. Strong, stable, structurally sound.
