About the Item
Outstanding early 20th Century French Solomonic twisted column, hand carved of oakwood. The column features a thick spiral twisted shaft repeatedly carved in fine detail with meandering grapes, vine leaves and birds. Column terminates with a round top, decorated with four Caryatids. Carved base with massive paw feet.
