Pair of French 19th Century Louis XVI Style Napoleon III Period Pedestals

About the Item

A most elegant pair of French mid 19th century Louis XVI st. Napoleon III period ebony, ormolu and black Belgian marble pedestals. The pair are raised by square bases with 'X' shaped ormolu mounts. Above are the tapered columns with central recessed panels on each sides. The recessed panels have a beaded ormolu trim with ormolu rosettes at each cut corner. The top portions of the pedestals have square blocks with dentil ormolu accents above a mottled trim and below a recessed rectangular panel. Above are the original black Belgian marble display tops.
