About the Item

A stunning and high quality French 19th century Empire st. Sèvres Porcelain, Gilt, Onyx, and Ormolu pedestal. This beautiful pedestal is raised by a square stepped Onyx base with four square Ormolu supports. The bottom plinth has a beautiful circular Ormolu band with foliate designs. The shaft of the pedestal displays an array of gilt palmette designs with the letter 'N' flanked by berried laurel vines and an open wing crowned eagle above. The top capital has an Ormolu mottled socle with foliate designs and supports the Onyx top. Base Dimensions: L: 11.25" D: 11.25"
