About the Item
An Italian pair of nicely trimmed column pedestals, with faux-marble paint, from the mid 20th century. This mid-century pair of pedestals each feature a squared top above a squared and tapering column, that stands atop a stacked square-shaped base. These architectural displays are nicely trimmed on all sides with dentil, acanthus leaf, and lamb's tongue molding. Circular and rectangular (with concaved tops) shaped molding further embellish the pedestals down each side. The hand-pained faux marble finish is complimented by the bronze/gilt and charcoal accents. This pair of Italian column pedestals, approximately 3.75 feet in height, would be quite striking flanking a living room or entry hall wall, decorated with some wonderful art or plants.
