Pair of Italian 19th Century Neoclassical Style Giltwood and Alabaster Pedestals

About the Item

A stunning pair of Italian 19th century neo-classical st. patinated wood, giltwood and Alabaster pedestals. Each pedestal is raised by an elegant triangular base with concave sides, giltwood feet and Fine mottled wrap around bands. The lightly curved supports display fluted designs and unique and most decorative bird feet. The supports are tied at the center by banana leaves and display striking richly carved eagle heads. Above the finely carved interlocking giltwood bands are the original Alabaster tops with concave sides and mottled borders. All original gilt and patina throughout. Top Display Tier: 19.5".
