About the Item
A striking and most unique pair of Italian 19th century Venetian polychrome and giltwood wall mounted consoles/pedestal columns. Each pedestal is raised by a rectangular block base with a mottled border. The tapered central supports display elegant carved recessed fluted giltwood panels. Above are beautiful palmettes and most impressive richly carved dog faces amidst decorative scrolled movements. The polychrome scalloped shaped top displays a fine mottled giltwood border.
