Pair of Italian Mid-19th Century Sienna Marble & Ormolu Mounted Pedestal Columns
About the Item
A very attractive and stately pair of Italian mid 19th century Sienna marble and ormolu mounted pedestal columns. The pair of beautifully veined Sienna marble columns are raised by square mottled edge plinths above ormolu plate supports. Above are the circular fluted tapered columns with richly chased ormolu chandelles. Above the columns are additional fluted chandelle designs decorated by similar ormolu mounts below carved Sienna marble bands. At the top are thick square display tiers.
