Pedestal in Scagliola Technique, 2nd Half 19th Century

About the Item

Round pedestal or column with a high, smooth base, a groove and straight shaft with a smaller base. The column is veneered in mahogany and inlaid with two threads of a light-colored wood in the lower third and decorated with an inlaid band in the form of amphorae and tendrils in the upper third. The column is in an unrestored condition.
