This elegant Italian pedestal is hewn from a striking piece of Rouge de France marble. Quarried only in France, Rouge de France marble has been hotly sought-after since ancient times for the highly varied, vibrant colors and patterns that naturally occur in the stone. A cultural symbol of tradition and refined taste for centuries, many important monuments, objets d’art and masterpieces have been crafted from this fine, scarlet-hued marble. Measures: 16 1/8“ wide x 10 3/4” deep x 47 1/4“ high.

This spectacular pair of marble and doré bronze pedestals is hewn from the finest French "Partridge eye" rouge griotte marble from the Languedoc region. Formed as Corinthian columns, these neoclassical pedestals are complete with intricate bronze doré capitals and acanthus and olive leaf bands around the base.
