Set of Four 19th Century Cararra Marble Columns with Byzantine Capitals

About the Item

Set of four 19th century cararra marble columns with byzantine capitals are ideal for setting a special architectural framework or ballustrade, or as artworks unto themselves! Hand-carved from the marble most priced by Michaelangelo himself, each features clockwise & counter-clockwise barley twist columns with a modernistic (at the time) Byzantine influenced capital that was a derivation of the Corinthian capital that preceeded it historically. The capitals are separate from the barley twist columns so that they can be properly mortared into place for your installation. Circa 1860s Each measures 32H x 6W x 6D including capital.
