French 19th Century Renaissance St. Ormolu And Alabastro Fiorito Marble Urn
About the Item
A striking and high quality French 19th century Renaissance st. ormolu and Alabastro Fiorito marble urn. The urn is raised by a remarkable square ormolu base with handsome paw feet, beautiful foliate designs and wrap around draped fabric designs with berried laurel leaves and swaging beaded garlands below the square Alabastro Fiorito marble base with cut corners. At the center is the elegantly curved socle shaped ormolu pedestal support adorned with charming richly chased berried laurel branches set on a lovely fluted design with a most decorative background. The impressive rounded body showcases the stunning Alabastro Fiorito veins with handsome intricately detailed lion head handles at each side in a superb satin and burnished finish and a lovely wrap around foliate band above the curved neck.
