Italian 19th Century Baroque St. Walnut Console / Planter
About the Item
A spectacular and most impressive Italian 19th century Baroque st. walnut console/planter. The console is raised by stunning richly carved dolphins with exquisite attention to detail wrapped in a unique and extremely decorative net amidst rocks with a starfish, a seashell and beautiful water flora. At the center is a charming cherub wrap in the dolphins tail holding up a seashell above. The striking wonderfully executed seashell displays fine carved designs and opens to reveal the interior also finished with a shell design and can be used as a planter. All original rich patina throughout.
