Italian Painted and Parcel-Gilt Planter, 19th Century
About the Item
Unique 19th century Italian Venetian hand painted and parcel-gilt planter.
The front of the planter begins with a large scroll over gilt rocaille carving enclosing hand-painted foliage and flowers. The sides of the planter depict floral and foliage still-life. The back is heavily carved with further rocaille style foliage, all terminating on four scrolled feet.
