Japan Big Brilliant Color Red Bronze Vase Signed Hasegawa
About the Item
Beautiful blazing red bronze color from Japan
From Japan comes this gorgeous big heavily hand cast bronze vase with a special brilliant blazing red "murashido" finish. This eye appealing vase was finished using a centuries old Japanese "murashido" red oil technique- this vase was dipped in hot oil to give it a unique beautiful swirling one- of -a -kind visually delightful red surface effect.
Today these works are highly collectible and serve as wonderful decorative accents or for dried flower arrangements.
Artisan signed on base by renown bronze artist designer Hasegawa Gasen (1901-1994), the multi-award winning Japanese artisan. This kind of vase exudes quality Japanese craftsmanship and is a breathtaking work of art to view and enjoy.
Dimensions: 12 inches tall and 7 inches diameter at the shoulder. Top opening is a substantial 3.75 inches diameter.
Lovely heavily hand cast quality, a beautiful form with high shoulders, slender curvaceous mid section that tapers to attractive complimentary bases. The 360 degree hand finished deep red "murashido" finish adds a unique glamour and charm.
An impressive presentation in this big and unique transformative design.
And a useful vase planter or handsome decorative work of art.

Another Gem
Japan, a fine substantial 11" tall antique monumental green and blue gourd shaped vase with unusual blue egg plant decoration glazed in rich deep green, blue, and brown colored crackled drip glazes.
It was crafted by the master artisans of the Japanese southern Awaji Kiln, from the late Meiji to Taisho period (1910s-1920s).
