Large Late Victorian Cast Iron Planter, Garden Accessory, "W.Bennett, Liverpool"

About the Item

This is a first for us, selling something right in our home. Actually right outside our home. This has been in the front of our home for the last 18 years, when we first bought our house. It's very large and impressive. It's got all the goodies you would want on a great planter. I can't remember seeing one we liked better. It has Dolphins for the handles, and cherubs cast around the middle, not mention other nice work. We used it for plants, and enjoyed it. Time to sell off lots of our prize possessions. We have had a shop in San Francisco for the past 45 years, so you know if we keep it, it must have merit. Needless to say this is quite heavy. Very impressive, and will make a great garden item, or for the front of the house like we did. It has a plaque on the bottom that reads "W. Bennett Liverpool". They have been in business since the early part of the 19th century.
