Large planter or sellette in wrought iron France, 1880 / 1900

About the Item

Large wrought-iron jardinière or sellette, circa 1880/1900, from the casino garden at La Bourboule, spa town with belle époque charm in central France, on the banks of the Dordogne. Originally, it would have been fitted with a planter or supported a wooden or stone tray. Six examples are available, all identical in size but with slightly different wrought-iron work. Height: 86 cm (33.9 inches) Diameter of the top (out of all, by excess ): 52 cm (20.5 inches) Diameter of the bottom (out of all, by excess ): 64 cm (25.2 inches)
