Large Vintage Christian Dior Signed Gilt Ceramic Jardinière Raised on Four Feet

About the Item

20th c., France, a large Dior Home jardinière. A richly gilt exterior, with fluted banding along body, on four modernistic feet, signed "Dior" to underside. This is certainly a statement piece. It would look wonderful filled with orchid plants set on a beautiful hall center table. A decadent and whimsical use would be as an ice bucket for champagne or fine wine. Dimensions: 10"h x 16"dia Condition: Good, interior with crazing and crackle, discoloration and surface dirt from use, some crackle to gilding. Minor surface distress to gilding consistent with age and use. Shows well. Provenance: A Private Collection: 888 Park Avenue, NYC.
