Modern and unique flowerpot
About the Item
This ceramic pot, which gives Persian carpet culture a modern twist, was handcrafted by us – CortoMagDelft – over a three-week period of work.
Before we fired it for the first time, the plant pot was moulded from clay, then left to dry for a week or thereabouts, then hand-painted and glazed, and finally fired in a ceramic kiln at 1100 degrees.
Each step requires attention and supervision, involving both of us.
This pot is unique, but can be reproduced in similar sizes - if you have any questions, please contact us!
As it is made of ceramic, it is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, for small trees or for plants of different sizes.
The pot is stable and can withstand temperatures of minus 0 degrees.
With its 10 kilos it is also relatively easy to move.
Each object by CortoMagDelft is unique and the logo is hand-painted on the base. If you wish, we can add a handmade dedication for you or the person you are giving it to.

CortoMagDelft
We are CortoMagDelft – a small ceramic manufactory in Münster, the north-west of Germany. As a design duo (we are twin sisters!) we decided to found a company in 2020 in order to be able to re-theme everyday objects. Ceramics is no longer the only material we work with: For us, copper, glass and mosaics are an ideal extension of our beloved but still "down-to-earth" material clay. Each CortoMagDelft-object is unique, but we like to speak of them as "serial uniques", as there is always the possibility of reproducing this unique piece and creating a similar – usually even better! – result. All our Objket are functional and yet always artistic, as we see the synthesis of design and art as particularly important in the current design movement. - Modern and manufactured ceramic etagereLocated in Münster, DEThe ceramic-etagere "Nepturn" is part of an entire etagere series of CortoMagDelft and can be used as a conventional etagere to place and store snacks but also as a cake, - jewelry- or key-stand. The stability is given thanks to a thin metal rod, which is covered by a brass pipe. Every ceramic part is handmade and hanpainted, engobed and glazed and therefore washable (not in the dishwasher though). The special technique we have developed for the etageres involves a varying result: each level of the etagere is another unique piece and as such can not be reproduced exactly. This results in slightly different dimensions for each etagere. Not only every form of an etagere differs from another etagere, also the hand-painting and glazing remains an unreplicable procedure, too: Nepturn has a different color design than the other etageres.
