Pair of French Brown Diabolo Planter by Willy Guhl and Anton Bee for Eternit

About the Item

Pair of French brown diabolo , good condition, trace of use , I have many more to come. Those piece are really hard to find. After they stopped manufacturing, many people threw their Willy Guhl's in the garbage. Each piece by the use of time and by their former owner is a unique piece. Here the 2 diabolos are not exactly the same, each piece has its faults and qualities. But every time you buy a Willy Guhl, you buy a unique and timeless piece. Swiss industrial designer Willy Guhl taught interior design at the Zurich School of Applied Arts and later became its director. This representative of the neo-functionalist style is best known for his weather-resistant cement creations, produced by the Swiss company Eternit. Asked after the war to design simplified furniture for Europe, he offered a multitude of design-optimized outdoor works. Let's discover how Guhl found his place among the best designers of the 20th century.
