Pair of Large Antique Italian Marble Urns with Dancing Cherubs
About the Item
A pair of monumental antique marble urns. Each urn is carved with raised impressive cherubs depicting dancing. Eight cherubs on each urn, draped with ribbon/tassels. The carving is done very decoratively and shows great detail. The bases are octagon shaped with egg and dart pattern edging. There is some minor damage along the bottom edge of each urn. See attached photos
These pieces were previously owned "Albert Anastasia of Fort Lee, New Jersey. The urns adorned the entrance of the property. The home was later sold to an owner at the time of the New York Yankees, Del Webb and then later to comedian Buddy Hackett.
