About the Item

Designed by David Cressey in 1963 as part of the Pro/Artisan stoneware collection for Architectural Pottery, the slipcast Phoenix planter has a bowl shape with an allover geometric relief. This example is has an eggplant purple glaze with a glossy finish, emphasizing the dynamic quality of the surface motif. Condition: Excellent vintage condition; a single clean drainage hole has been drilled. Dimensions: The Phoenix-1 variant has a slightly squatter design, with a diameter of 24.5 and a height of 20”
