About the Item

This striking pair of sculptural planters was designed by Willy Guhl for Eternit in the mid-20th century. Crafted from fiber cement, these biomorphic planters feature an organic, undulating form reminiscent of a clam shell. The red-painted exterior, now beautifully weathered with patina, adds a bold contrast to the textured interior, showcasing years of natural aging. These planters are highly sought-after examples of Swiss mid-century modern design, blending functionality with artistic form. Perfect for both indoor and outdoor spaces, they bring a sculptural presence to any garden, patio, or modernist setting. Especially the small size is a ultra rare variety and is extremely hard to find. A rare opportunity to acquire a matching set of these iconic planters with original patina. The planters will be shipped on a pallet or in an oversized package to avoid damages.
