An extraordinary Helicoid model M400 staircase by French designer Roger Tallon, 1964. Tallon originally designed this piece for Gallery Lacloche Edition in Paris and it has since become a piece of design history. This iconic staircase features a steel central pole, on which twelve polished cast aluminum paddle shaped steps are affixed in a spiral. The bottom landing step is slightly larger. Each step has a textured circular black rubber inlay and the staircase sits on a landing pad. This piece was designed to be modular; additional steps can be added or removed, allowing it to be easily adjusted for a range of spaces. Our staircase has 12 steps...
