Antique French Statue of St. Michael
About the Item
Catholics believe that Michael the Archangel was the leader of the army of God during the Lucifer uprising. Michael defended the gates of heaven and struck Lucifer down. He is represented as the dragon. This statue was cast using reconstituted stone (crushed stones and plastifiers). It is most likely from the late 1800's.
