The feminine body is depicted in all the Romance and Respect possible for a bath Scene. The Holding of the Large water Jar, with the water depicted flowing out of it, at the side of the lady is breathtaking. Draped with the Fabric represented in the stone carving strategically, imposing a level of Elegance rarely seen in sculptures.

During the French revolution many of the old Chateaux were attacked they destroyed the statues, roof tops etc… you can see the signs of that on One of the two beautiful ladies had an old restoration at the neck and head level and side, with an old restoration. We did not make any changes to that, since this makes an important part of the period that we wanted to preserve and showcase it.
We mounted them on some large late 18th early 19th Century Hand Carved pedestals, if you would like to purchase them I can send you a quote.
