About the Item
Monumental pair of opposing bronze foo dogs or guardian lions… This is a male and female pair. The male has his paw on top of the globe, and the female has her paw on top of their pup. The tails are large and fan shaped and upward, sweeping . The foo dogs are sculpted three dimensionally and each tail has a hook to attach them to pillars as they were depicted in Chinese temples. There are semi precious stones for the eyes and decorate. the entire bodies. The mouths have round balls in them.. provenance ..Palm Beach Island estate. Please see the photos and especially the video for details. 46 inches tall 39 inches wide and 17 inches deep.
