19th Century William Reith Stained Glass Church Window Panel or Transom
About the Item
1880s stained glass church window by William Reith, born 1844, Germany arriving in America in 1867 establishing a studio in Philadelphia. The panel is a portion of a larger window depicting the painted feet of a saintly figure amongst a lush garden scene. This work is saturated in rich, jewel toned colors which emanate throughout a room bringing much warmth and beauty while evoking one's imagination. William Reith was one of the most celebrated stained-glass masters of his time and this special item is a rare opportunity. A magnificent and captivating piece great as a transom or decoration. Signed in the lower left, "Wm Reith, Phila." (Last photo).
