This is an antique country house fireside bin. An English, polished brass and ebony decorative fire bucket, dating to the early Victorian period, circa 1850. Exceptional craftsmanship and style, perfect for gracing the larger fireplace Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order Polished brass presents superb golden tones throughout Quality ebony handles, turned and detailed with dark hues Rolled carry handle articulates for stowage when not in use Broad flared rim accentuated with engraved foliate detail Fascinating pineapple motif to front with eye-catching diamond pattern Relief detail flourishes across the underside of the bulbous form Excellent panther head masks form the side handle brackets Second carry handle to the rear for aiding stability Raised upon a striking trio of lion paw feet Suitable for all fuel types, including coal and firewood This is a dashing antique country house fireside bin, with great proportion and colour.
