Vintage mid 20th century Chinese lacquered papier-mâché wastepaper basket and matching tissue box cover set. The basket has an organic, skewed square form with rounded edges and a decorative two-tone design. Both pieces feature gilt calligraphy on a lacquered black background. Tissue box cover accommodates standard size box. A wonderfully unique set with lots of character.
