Early 20th Century English Hand Painted Iron Coal Bucket with Crest Decor

Place this large, colorful antique stand at your front door or in your mudroom to collect umbrellas, canes or other accessories; created in England circa 1920, the metal bucket with top and side handles, is decorated with a hand painted crest embellished with foliage, and inscriptions reading "Cannock Urban District Council". The iron coal bucket is in excellent condition and has rich patinated colors in the red and black palette; the piece could also be used as a large waste basket. Cannock Chase Council is a local authority in the south of Staffordshire serving over 100,000 residents living in the towns of Rugeley, Cannock and Hednesford, and the large communities of Brereton and Ravenhill, Bridgtown, Heath Hayes, Norton Canes and Rawnsley. It covers a significant part of the popular Cannock Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Measures: 16.5" W x 16" D x 17.5" H.
