FABULOUS Arts and Crafts Copper Coal Hod on Stand, Circa 1920
About the Item
Absolutely wonderful craftsmanship shows in this gorgeous piece of Arts and Crafts coal hod. The frame is hand made artistically from iron and is decorated with twisting arms and leaf decoration. The base has three legs, which end in wonderful hand made leaves for feet. The coal hod itself is made from copper. The hod is egg shaped and the bottom is hammered, for added design interest. The top has a molded edge and in the center of the top is a central raised reeded dome with a single hand shaped brass knob. This is a gorgeous piece and would look wonderful in any setting!
