Mid-Century Hand-Woven Willow Basket or Magazine Rack with Handle

About the Item

Beautiful, Mid-Century, hand-woven basket with handle made from young willow branches. When used fresh, they are flexible and subsequently harden - which makes for a sturdy frame. This technique was and is commonly used to build fences in the Netherlands, a practice still used today. This catch all basket could be used for flower collection or as a magazine rack. In original condition with wear consistent with age and use.
